Full guide to the BoV including costs.

This guide is aimed at making people aware of the costs of reaching medals of the Brotherhood of Virtue (bov for short).

Let us begin with what the bov is:
Simply it is a place where players may exchange evil eyes (EE) and bringer of evil (boe) skulls for emanation of good (eog), and exchange eog for blessing scrolls.
If you would like more information about this, there is all you need to know at the mentor site and the library.
Library: http://warofdragons.com/info/library/index.php?obj=cat&id=60
mentor site: https://sites.google.com/site/info4wod/reputations/bov

Next, let's move onto being able to access the bov in the first place.

First, you will need level 5 or higher. Level 4's and below cannot access the bov.
Second you will need either healer level 2 or higher, or a locksmith level 30 or higher. You will then need to speak to Norak
the Virtuous

Norak will then give you a quest "Initiation into the Brotherhood of Virtue" where you will need to speak to 4 NPC's whom you will have helped before or need to help in order to receive recommendations from them.

For humans this will be:
Quest - NPC
•Attack of the Gordts - to get permission from Pandrik the Wise
•The Bite of a Rabid Dog - to get permission from from Elder Baguron
•Damirus's Heartbreak - to get permission from from Warlord Damirus
•Unusual Zigred Wings - to get permission from Sorena the Mermaid

Magmars:
•A Natural Vaccine Against Curses - to get permission from Flavviy the Wise
•The Opening Gambit - to get permission from from Elder Verkiry
•The Collar of Gidver's Dog - to get permission from from Warlord Gidver
•Restoration of Vertsida's Statue - to get permission from Soygura the Craftswoman

For humans, the only problematic quest at this stage would be attack of the gordt's. I was able to solo them with full green gear a berona tiger and 6 belt slots. Although i had backup in case a second gordt attack.
For magmars, i am unsure about the first and last quest, but the middle two most people will have already completed by level 5.

After that, you will be accepted!

Lets move onto costs:
Starting with healer:
5 gold to begin initiation as a healer and a quest. 1000 heal scrolls to be used on fellow humans = 30 gold. If you wish to skip hunting for 1000 heal scroll uses, you will need to pay for 1500 heal scrolls, this will purchase a book to increase your healing level to 2 from Samuel the Cleric.
So this is a minimum of 35 gold.
Locksmith:
I am unable to say much on this, as i have not taken this path.
I would also expect this to cost within the regions of 25-40 gold, depending on your luck. Also depending on if you purchase chests, or if you offer your services for free and people use you.

Next. The costs of reaching Medals.
To begin with, ratios.
1 boe skull = 2 eog
10 boe skulls = 21 eog
50 boe skulls = 107 eog
1 EE = 30 eog
10 EE = 310 eog

At the moment, i will calculate only blessing scrolls for increasing reputation. I am unsure how healing burns/marks of death affects reputation, i am fairly sure it doesnt and instead affects the healing profession. Please correct this if i am wrong or confirm if correct.
Anyway:
Darshana: 70 eog, used to increase your reputation from 10 to 1000. (you begin with 10 for being initiated). +10 per scroll purchased. None is gained through using it.
Loka-Sangrakha: 100 eog, used to increase reputation from 1000 to 2000. Can only be purchased at 1000 reputation or more.
Parmathka: 130 eog, used to increase repuation from 2000 to 3000. Can only be purchased at 2000 reputation or more.

Once a reputation of 1000 and 2000, respectively, have been achieved, you will no longer be able to use the Darshana and Darshana/Loka-Sangrakha to increase reputation.

Bear in mind that the infoportal is currently incorrect. You receive no reputation for using a scroll. Only the purchase counts.

So bearing this in mind. How much does it really cost to reach a grey badge?
So, 490 reputation is needed (remember you start with 10) to reach 500.
This means 49 scrolls of darshana need to be purchased.
This means that you will need 3430 eog to buy that many (49*70).
In terms of EE's in stacks of 10:
3430/310 = 11.06 stacks of 10. so 111 (after rounding up) EE's are needed.
In terms of boe skulls in stacks of 50:
3430/107 = 32.06 stacks of 50. +3. This is 1603 boe skulls needed.

for green badge (from 10 rep!):
99*70 = 6930 EOG needed (or grey badge + 3500)
In terms of EE's in stacks of 10:
6930/310 = 22.354. so 224 EE's are needed.
In terms of boe skulls in stacks of 50:
6930/107 = 64.77. This means 3240 skulls are needed.

for green badge to blue badge:
100*100(Loka-Sangrakha scroll used now, darshana will not work to increase rep) = 10000 eog.
In terms of EE's in stacks of 10:
10000/310 = 32.25 = 323 EE's needed.
In terms of boe skulls in stacks of 50:
10000/107 = 93.46 = 4697 skulls 93 stacks of 50, 4 stacks of 10, 3 singles.

for blue badge to purple badge:
100*130 (parmathka scrolls) = 13000
In terms of EE in stacks of 10:
13000/310 = 41.94 = 420 EE's needed (419 is not enough)
In terms of boe skulls in stacks of 50:
13000/107 = 121.50. 6080 skulls needed (121 stacks of 50, 3 stacks of 10)

for purple badge to red badge:
Quest for the red badge is handing in 15,000 eog.
in terms of EE in stacks of 10:
15000/310 = 48.39 = 484 EE's needed
In terms of BoE skulls in stacks of 50:
15000/107 = 140.19 = 7010 skulls (140 stacks of 50, 1 stack of 10)

So as a total:
A red badge will require:
6930 + 10000 + 13000 + 15000 = 44930 eog needed
in terms of EE in stacks of 10:
44930/310 = 144.94 = 1450 EE's needed.
in terms of boe skulls in stacks of 50:
44930/107 = 419.91 = 20100 (420 stacks of 50, any less does not work)

I suspect you have already read the rewards, if not, it's easiest to just read what you can purchase here:
http://warofdragons.com/info/library/index.php?obj=cat&id=60

I wish you all the best of luck and hope you found this informative (and impressive! 1450 EE's being a minimum without skulls for a red BoV badge)

thanks for comments, hope it helps,

Nice link shadowone, put's it in a very nice easy to read way.

I was just rather surprised how many EE's were needed for even a grey badge, was expecting it to be roughly half that or less.
Ah well, nothing comes cheaply in this game ;)
