Gnome Runes - Guide

What is Rune?

Rune is the Key to part of the dreamed Minotaurs treasury. Depending on what rune you have, that part of the treasury you can obtain.
To activate a rune you will require Quicksilver that you receive in various ways. The most common one is the exchance of superbeings quest items with the Master of the Juggernauts. Other known ways are drop from Magic wand, Qucksilver Breeze depending on your Hunters of Fortune reputation), Gift of Heaven, Urchi Sacks, stashes and so on.
Each rine require different amount of quicksilver (as written on it) and require to be open on certain location. But do not be so brave, some of the runes are guarded by furious Minotaurs that defend their treasury!

How to obtain Gnome Rune?

Gnome runes drop from monsters from level 3. The higher the level of the monster is, the better rune can drop. The only rune that does not drop from regular monster is Dragonor Gnome Rune, it can only be received from Abandoned Smithy instance.
As non-activated gnome runes are transfable, they can be sold via auction or traded in regular trade or via clan bank.
Another probability to receive rune is Antiquarian bag (via coins collections) or Mysterios bags or sacks from recurring or main quests.
Also killing the Fire Golem at Abandoned Smithy instance grant you a chance of obtaining one of the runes. Yet the drop is not guaranteed upon defeating the golem.
You can purchase them for Tokens of Fortune at the pub/tavern. Tokens you can obtain from Wheel of Fortune or Urchi Sacks.
If you are lucky enough during the events Underwater Treasure, Pearl Fishers and Luck Glow you can also get a rune.
Another option is random drop from the recurring quest Freight Shipment [9] or the level 7 recurring quest at the Mermaid at Lumirya (for humans) or the Miner at Bats Den (magmars).
Also for exchange of the Demonolist staff you can receive rune, acoording to your level.

What to do once we activate the rune?

Once we activate the rune the symbols on it will start to shinne in red and it will become non-transferrable. However, each rune will give us a short joker where to open it and I will just make it easier by telling you straight where to do that and what to expect.

Gray Runes:

Argo Gnome Rune - magmars need to open at Place of Sorrow and humans at Communal Grave.

Yaz Gnome Rune - magmars at Gorge of Gondi and humans at Ridge of Kayar.

The drop from this runes will come right upon using it and it will be Gnomes' Casket which can drop the following:

OR 1 pc. Gnome Coin OR 1 pc. Valuable Gnome Coin + one of the following - 15-31 pcs. Qucksilver, or 1 pc. Pile of Papers, or 1 Bubbly Metal, or 1 pc. Ragtikron Leather, or 5 pcs. Rare Scroll of Healing, or 5 pcs, rare Scoll of Poison, or 3 pcs. Faulty Efril, or 1 pc. Bravado Helmet, or 1 pc. Path of Valor Statuette, or 1 Imp Conbo-cube, or 1 pc. of the either green Gnome runes, or chess pieces up to level 3.

Green Runes:

They can give you better treasury but there is a guard awaiting for you. That will be a Minotaur level 7 with 1121 hp and with hits around 42-55. Nobody can enter your fight to help you but you surely can call summons or your mount.

Khagann Gnome Rune - magmars open at Glade of Dreams, humans at Wild Forrest.

Ezav Gnome Rune - Barrow of Death for magmars and Steppe Vista for humans.

When you kill the guard you will receive Gnomes' Casket and its drop will be as per the following:

OR 1-8 pcs. Gnome Coins OR 1 pc. Valuable Gnome Coin + either of 24-124 pcs. Quicksilver, or 1 pc. Pile of Papers, or 2 pcs. Bubbly Metal, or 2 pcs. Ragtikron Leather, or 5 pcs. Rare Scroll of Healing, or 5 pcs, rare Scoll of Poison, or Minotaur call design, or chess pieces up to level 5, or 4pcs. Fauly Efril, or 1pc. Bravado Helmet, or 1 pc. Path of valour Statuette, or 1 pc. Mask of Horror, or 1 pc. Imp Combo-cube, or 1 pc. Demon Combo-cube, or 1 pc. from either of the blue Gnome runes.

Blue Runes:

Fancy treasure is hidden there but you know, the better the goodies, the worse the guards. For this one you will not get just one attack but 2 in a row! First one will be Minotaur level 9 with 1242 hp and hits around 55-65 and then right after you kill it the 2nd guard will be 1342 hp with the same strength. However, if you have 'autoequp slots' set up (from character's options), then you should be affraid only from completing the first fight with low life as autoeat option doesnt work. Same as the green runes fights - nobody can help you except your summons and mounts. :knight:

Rayno Gnome Rune - magmars open at Manor of Budrimakh, humans at Glade of Oblivion.

Terp Gnome Rune - Forgotten Mines for magmar fellows and Foot of the Barrow for brave humans.

When you kill the 2 guards you will receive Gnomes' Casket which treasury will be as per the following:

OR 3-20 pcs. Gnome Coins OR 1pc. Valuable Gnome Coin + either one of 65-340 pcs. Quicksilver, or 1 pc. Pile of Papers, or 3 pc. Bubble Metal, or 3 pcs. Ratikron leather, or 6 pcs. Fauly Efrils, or 1 pc. Demon Combo-cube, or 1 pc. Devil Combo-cube, or 1pc. Bravado Helmet, or 1 pc. Path of Valour Statuette, or 1 pc. Mask of Horror, or 1pc. Minotaur call design, or 1pc. from either of the purple gnome runes.

Purple Runes:

Awww! Such a nice prizzes there! But the guards are strong and many. Here you will have 3 fights in a row. The first fight will be with 1 minotaur, as a sparring, the 2nd and 3rd fights will be with 2 minotaurs each fight. They are irendical with 1543hp and hits 65-85, they just look different. You knwo already, autoeat doesn't work but the belts will refill if you ticked that option in your preferences. However, again you got to do that solo and only mounts and summons can save you, pardon, help you in fight.

Fey Gnome Rune - magmars open at Ridge of Darkness and humans at Jasmine Brushwood

Frey Gnome Rune - Ice Grotto for magmars and Thistle Brushwood for humans.

After demolishing the guards you will receive Gnomes' Casket that will drop you the following:

OR 15-60 pcs. Gnome Coins OR 1 pc. Valuable Gnome Coin + either one of 168-961 pcs. Quicksilver, or 1 pc. Pile of Papers, or 4 pcs. Bubbly metal, or 4 pcs. Ragtikron leather, or 1 pc. Devil Combo-cube, or (another useless) 1 pc. Minotaur call design, or 8 pcs. Faulty Efril, or 1 pc. Bravado Helmet, or 1 pc. Path of Valour Statuette, or 1pc. Mask of Horror, or 1pc. Klesh Sarcophagus, or 1 pc. from either of the red gnome runes (except Dragonor).

Well, now, while we are still at the purple casket part, I would like to mention that you can get such a fancy casket from an event withiut the need of having a rune :woot: Yep, just kill the boss at The Minotaurs' Revenge event and you will get it.

...

Red Runes:

Oh, come on, I know you wonder for Dragonor from the start, here it comes. I will start with it but I don't guarantee you will like the outcome of it...
However, the runes have different ways to be open so I will explain for the fights separately.
general info - as you go to the enemy land to open the runes, they will be very 'friendly' towards you and you have to be alive to open the runes. When you open them you will find yourself in entrance of instance. Create group and enter. Bellow you will find what you have to do for each different rune. However, after you get the treasury you will have cooldown of 5 minutes for the next rune to open. However, if you die in the instance you will have 4 hours to keep do meetings and greetings with humans trying to reach the instance, until it close.

Dragonor Gnome Rune - you got to open at Platoe of Silence and they should be no lower than level 15, but here comes the wonderring - what will come out of it nobody knows. Even in ru server nobody has obtained that unique rune. There is rumors that the tresury is huge drop from all possible treasures, but yet just rumors. If you get one - please tell us what you had to do and what was your drop. We will do a special Dragonor semi-guide under your name

Anguz Gnome Rune - magmars open at Baurvil Hamlet (yes, at human land) and humans open at Settlement of Faytir (yes, at magmar land).

After you enter the instane you will find yourself in loaction with 3 possible ways - Exit, Treasury and Passage. The entrance of the Treasury is blocked, therefore you have to go to the Passage. On the locations there is minotaurs (1298hp & 1338hp) but you don't need them so don't bother attacking them (but they will attack you). There in the dead-end location there is a hanging bat on top left (if you click you can get baby atshi or its' mama attack), bottom right you will see part of a wooden barrel (regular stash, just get the goodies there), then above the barrel there is a lever (that's what you are for in the room). Do not click on the lever before your transfer time at the location pass. The moment you click you will see message that you have 12 minutes to obtain the treasury and as well find in your bag Hour-glass. Then you have to go back to the Treasury room and kill the minotaur lvl 13 (find on hunt mode). It has 3675 hp and strong magic resistance, hits around 100. If you are unable to kill it, do not worry, it will spawn in 10 minutes. However, if you fail to reach the treasury for 12 minutes, then you will have to go back to the end of the passage, activate the lever and then go for the Treasury room, that can keep going until your instance close (4hrs). When you are done and you exit the instance you will pop straight at Valey of Fire (magmars) and Outskirts of Klesva (humans), but yet you can also teleport once you left the instance.

When you defeat the minotaur level 13 your red activated rune will be removed and it will drop Gnomes' Casket and the drop from it will be the following:

OR 60-200 pcs. Gnome Coin OR 1 pc. Valuable Gnome Coin + one of either 1 pc. Klesh Sarcophagus, or 1 pc. Goblet of Baddukh, or 1 pc. Shardolite, or 1 pc. Bugle of Lost Souls, or 1 pc. Minotaur call design ( .well: ), or 1 pc. Devil Combo-cube.

Bego Gnome Rune - Magmars open at Light's Edge (human land), Humans open at Grotto Maettro (magmar land).

When you activate it you will enter instance (same times and all added info as for Anguz), but the instance is easier. Wehn you enter you will find yourself at instance with 2 options - Door and Exit. When you go to the doors you will have to kill the level 12 minotaur Keyholder in order to be able to pass to the next location, that will have to be sone 3 times in order to reach the reasury room. The keyholder has 3329 hp, strong resistance to magic and hit around 100. There is also joinners at the location but here you do not have timer so you can take your time to kill whatever attacks you or join your fights. When you reach the treasury room just click on the large chest on the middle fo your location screen. Your activated rune and 3 keys will be taken away and you will receive Gnomes' Casket, which drop is the same as for Anguz rune.

Counterfeit Runes:

Non-transferrable ones and take 1 space at the backpack. However, you can obtain them from mobs level 4-6 (even if you are much more higher level) and from events that will take up your Berona prairies/ Zvigold Brist influence up to 500.
You open them at the pub/tavern. No fight required.

Argo counterfeit - require for opening 2 pcs. collected Rosemary, 4 pcs. collected Irvis, 50 pcs. Obsidian dust, 100 pcs. Amethyst dust.

Ezav counterfeit - require for opening 2 pcs. collected Rosemary, 4 pcs. collected Milfoil, 15 pcs. Red inks.

Khagann counterfeit - require for opening 15 pcs. Obsidian dust, 100 pcs, Sapphire dust, 15 pcs. Green inks.

They can drop you either of the following (no gnome coins): 1 pc. Bravado Helmet, or 1 pc. Path of Valour Statuette, or 1 pc. Mask of Horror, or 1 pc. Bubbly metal, or 1 pc. Ragtikron leather, or 1 pc. of leather armor or shield/club, or 1 pc. Pile of Papers, or 3 pcs. Pkhadd amulet of call, or 1 pc. Tiger amulet of call, or 1 Efril, or 1 pc. Elixir of healing Wounds, or random drop of battle elixirs from gray to blue.

That's all folks! :rose:
