I'm only able to find a total of three actual cities named California, although there seem to be a lot of smaller towns, villages and boroughs/suburbs within cities that are also called California.

There's the imaginatively named California City in California, a city named California in Kentucky, and a city named California in Missouri.

So I guess that makes my answer "False"

Near the end of the 19th century, the US state of Indiana attempted to legally change a certain universally accepted fact, which had been set in stone for many years.

The bill got past most of the legal procedures, only being halted at the Senate, which collectively mocked it and threw it out as they had been essentially given a class about the subject by an expert beforehand.
