An actual guide for low levels in Great Battles.

First, a small intro...

Well then, since the all high and mighty mages are, as usual, slacking about, (Except maybe ConnyFox) it falls, as always, to the lower levels to be the only organised and efficient force in Great Battles, and to write guides how to do that, too. :bee: As already evidenced by many threads in the forum, all mages ever do are: 1.bitch. 2.whine. 3.threaten executions. 4. Tell people what to do without actually giving them any useful details. 5. Bitch and whine and threaten more. :son:

This guide: http://www.warofdragons.com/forum/thread…ig-Guys-Battles...
Written by a non-mage (Obviously), while provides good general guidelines, offers only a few actual details on how to maximise your potential, so i will expand on it a bit. (Funny how this guide is useless for me, since i'm below lv7, yet i'm writing it.).

Ok then, The Guide:
How To Fill Your Slots and Blessings for GB's for Dummies

Resurrections: http://www.warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=240 purple, 40% life healed; only level 9's can use them, though, so most low levels are still screwed.
Blue: http://www.warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=239 30%, lv 7; still not too good.
Green: http://www.warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=238 20% heal, lv 5; usable by most, but almost not worth using. Grey ones aren't even worth mentioning. :fuu:

So if you're not lv7, or better - 9, it's not worth bringing rez scrolls. Not much you can do at all, really. First, try to bring healing instead, preferrably purple. (NOT rare heals that heal 120 hp. Purple ones that heal 25% http://www.warofdragons.com/artifact_inf…artikul_id=1314 ) (Also restricted by level!) They have a big catch, though: "However you cannot heal more lifepoints than you have yourself." So, you need to maximise your HP for maximum effect: with Elder's (40 hp) + warlord's (30 hp) and a purple Giant you can get 105 more health + 50% to your own health. Also, those two are the LEAST blessings you should come with to important GB's. It's okay if you can't afford red blesses; it's NOT okay if you can't beat up some kretches to get a Warlord's blessing.

That's two slots: a giant and heal scrolls (if you're bringing resses, 3 slots). Since you're not likely to last more than 3-5 hits, it's probably best to bring more weapons rather than healing for yourself. They would be:
One: Purification scrolls: http://www.warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=173 cast them on anyone with a healing scroll effect, and it will remove it. Does NOT disperse potions.
Two: Purification scrolls, as mentioned by MindFreak in his guide (Requires Hunters of Undead reputation) http://www.warofdragons.com/artifact_inf…artikul_id=1958 Cast them on people that have the most magical poisons on them (NOT scrolls of poisoning, but mage poison spells).
Three: Poison scrolls. Since you're really unlikely to do much damage, you could probably do more damage with scrolls rather than healing yourself (And you're supposed to be healing mages anyway, remember?).
This (poisoning) is actually a pretty good tactic in some cases: http://warofdragons.com/info/news/show_1…%27s_tools.html I was #3 in that fight with damage. While i had average equipment and almost no blessings, i brought rare poisons instead of healing (no healing at all), since you can't do good damage with profession tools anyway. And i came out 3rd, and outdid some heavily blessed people.

It's best not to fill more than 1 slot with the same type of items (healing, poison, etc.) since you can't use them until the timer runs out anyway; and if you stock a varied selection like the one above, you can just use them all at once - just join the fight and go BLAAAARG :dragon:

So, to sum it up:
1/2.Blue/purple rez; if you can't - purple Giant.
3.Purple/blue healing scrolls.
4.Purification/poison/charm dispersal.

Now, what have we learned today? If you're level 5 and below, you're almost completely useless! :jump: You can't (effectively) ressurect, you can't (effectively) heal, you can't even bring charm dispersals (lv 6+ only) can only bring poison and purification scrolls (purification only if you're level 4+)! So all you lv 5's and below can relax and stop worrying about joining GB's unprepared, there's almost nothing you can do anyway. It's not your fault, the game's built that way! You can stop feeling guilty now (If you were in the first place, that is). :jump:
You do not quit playing computer games because youre old, you get old because you quit playing.

Well done but the scroll mentioned by MindFreak was charm dispersals (lvl 6+) and not puris.
One more thing about how low lvls should fight during those GB's : Stay on block and stal as much as you can.Since you can't do significant dmg, should atleast buy some time for mass secondary magic effects by our mages (they work like poison scrolls but affect more than one person).
When you set sail for Ithaca, wish for the road to be long, full of adventures, full of knowledge.

The guide is lame. No wonder humans lose GBs so often.
