MB Guide to Chaos Invasion
Event Chaos invasion is (or in past was) regularly recurring even taking place once in month. It main contribution to players is Chaos Fighters reputation and Chaos Particles, which use will be explained at the end. Event contains from 3 different stages.

Stage 1 – Opening gates
In this stage, players must visit Shaera to receive The Gift of Insight. This bless have 4 days duration and under its influence, players are able to get Golden Scales from fights with monsters, which are maximum one lever lower then warrior’s own level. For Scales handed in is raised influence in Spectral Expanse, which can give nice rewards:
  • Reward for 50 influence: Scroll of Antichaos (30pcs)
  • Reward for200 influence: Scroll of Antichaos (35 pcs.)
  • Reward for 500 influence: Chaos Particle (30 pcs)
  • Reward for 1000 influence: Chaos Particle (50 pcs)

Also, if player hand in at least 1 Golden Scale, receive 8 hours bless in second stage, which can be very helpful. Strength of bless depend on number of Scales given to Shaera.
This stage is voluntary but bless is nice help in second stage and what is more important, if all players (humans and magmars) together don’t give enough scales to Shaera, event ends.

Stage 2 – March to Gates
This is main part of event. Shaera in order to help with defeating chaos help both races to understand each other. It is special instance filled with ugly gungls of all possible kinds.

Basic information
If player want to be part of this instance, it can be found among battlefields called Gates of Chaos where is necessary to queue like to other battlefields.Prepare a lot time, it can be only short run but also it can take up to 8 hours which is huge load. Most of mine runs was around 3-5 hours.

Team
It is for human and magmar teams of 5 players which must cooperate to finish successfully. There are level groups 4, 5-6, 7-8,… Best advice is to put together your own team and contact some players from other race, where is possibility they like to go too. Finding good team from other race with same goal helps a lot. I experienced some instances where other team come just to kill few easy gungls which can be very frustrating or even team who tried to loot our team.

Preparations
Because this instance can be really hard and takes a lot time, it is good to be ready. Buy some red bulls, food which can be eaten by one hand and secure free pass to toilet :-)

Also game character must be prepared. It is necessary to have some staff depending on your goal inside.
  1. If u have mount, have a lot food for it. If u have pet, it can help a lot too so have pet food for it.
  2. Antichaos – here it is MUST. Every member of group should have enough. Longer u plan to stay, more will be needed. For 2 hours run everyone should carry around 30, longer runs require more.
  3. Potions & scrolls – giants, heal pots, heal scrolls, poisons (necessary if group plan to kill shamans)
  4. Blessings – like always, depends on what is in plan. It is better to have some ready anyway.
  5. Summons –depends on goal, if stronger bosses are in plan to kill, it is better to carry some summons. Also in case of more mobs joining fight.

Battlefield itself
Players are transferred to central location which provide acces to all other locations. It is safe place which also give chance to resurrect after dead. Choose location where start. Easiest is Gungl tower. There can be found gungles up to defilerDO.
Goal is clear – by killing mobs, get enough points and then kill Boss. Number of points and type of boss varies according to level of group. Every gungle up to Large Egnu gives 10 reputation as reward for killing it. Egnu lord give 15 and Chaos Giant 50. Players receive reputation only if they don’t have more rep then certain number. Reputation will receive every member of group in attack with rep low enough. See list below:
  • Gungle Chaos Army [5] (10) up to 500 Chaos fighter reputation
  • GunglDO Chaos army [6] (10) up to 1000 Chaos fighter reputation
  • GunglVO Chaos army [7] (10) up to 1500 Chaos fighter reputation
  • GunglXO Chaos army [8] (10) up to 2000 Chaos fighter reputation
  • Gungl Shaman [9] (10) up to 2000 Chaos fighter reputation
  • DefilerDO [10] (10) up to 2200 Chaos fighter reputation
  • DefilerXO [12] (10) up to 2500 Chaos fighter reputation
  • General UyarrMo [14] (10) up to 2800 Chaos fighter reputation
  • Large Egnu [16] (10) up to 3000 Chaos fighter reputation
  • Egnu Lord [18] (15) up to 3000 Chaos fighter reputation
  • Giant [22] (50) up to 3000 Chaos fighter reputation

Goals (what boss is necessary to kill to win instance)
  • Level 4 – Army of Chaos GunglXO
  • Level 5-6 – DefilerDO
  • Level 7-8 – DefilerXO
  • Level 9-10 – General UyarrMO
  • Level 11-12 – Large Egnu
  • Levels 13-14 – Egnu Lord
  • Level 15 – Chaos Giant

Number of point get for killing mob
  • Army of Chaos Gungl – 1 point
  • Army of Chaos GunglDO – 2 points
  • Army of Chaos GunglVO – 3 points
  • Army of Chaos GunglXO – 4 points
  • GunglXO Shaman – 6 points
  • DefilerDO – 8 points
  • DefilerXO – 18 points
  • General UyarrMO – 36 points
  • Large Egnu – 72 points
  • Egnu Lord – 108 points
  • Chaos Giant – 144 points

How to fight gungls inside
Most important is need to have antichaos scrolls. Best if every member of group have 1 slot in belt. Not long before death, every gungl try to clone itself. Effect will be casted 3 times and when it casted third, it makes 3 copies of itself with full HP. Nasty. It is necessary to decide who will remove it with antichaos and that person must take care of it.

Also gungls use 2 other spells. Very light poison and effect which make damage and weaker blows. These cumulate, it is best to wait until more are cumulated before removing.

Shamans are first interesting and common mob – it have 4000 HP shield but it can be putted down with poisons very easy. Every member of group need 2 slots of purple poisons. Attack, poison and just wait and stall max.

Defilers are hard mobs. High HP and cast Wolb twice at 66% and 33% HP. This is strong poison doing high dmg. Should be removed ASAP. There are many ways to kill these. Easiest are with use of cerrador or Jackaral, also can be killed with standard mounts + summons. Best is to call them right after join fight, after fight and after second Wolb.

General Uyarrmo and Egnus are even harder, from what I heard to fight these efficiently without using huge amount of summons is necessary to use Jackaral. Cant provide better guide because I lack needed experience.

Reward
When boss is dead, players can leave and will be rewarded by 20 chaos particles. If they make enough points, they will get 10 bonus particles. Points depends on level of group:
  • Level 4 – 14 points
  • Level 5-6 – 59 points
  • Level 7-8 – 163 points
  • Level 9-10 – 375 points
  • Level 11-12 – 807 points
  • Levels 13-14 – 1,443 points
  • Level 15 – 2,523

Stage 3 – Arrival of the Giants
Mage only part of event. All happens in Fortress of Captivity and during this even is location accessible only players who are lvl 11 or higher (mean there is no way how to reach old library and other staff there)
There are waves of toughest chaos monsters and in the end, even chaos Giant itself will show up.

Chaos particles
These little weird spiky things are with Destroyers of Chaos reputation only reason to participate. 30 particles are necessary for quest Ressurection of the Chaos Demigod (gives nice 700city reputation). Another use of chaos particles is to get belt, which can be obtained from guard on Fay-Go and cost 135 particles. Also, with enough particles there is possibility to click on them which will lead to creation of Chaos Elixir of Htaed Nogard, chaos ring, chaos amulet and even chaos battle axe. Statistics of rings, amulets and axe depends on level of player, have 33 days life and gives really strong boost to statistics.
Numbers of particles with chances of getting items can be found in library: Chaos items chart

Chaos Fighters reputation
From my own experience it is easy on lvl 8-10 to get even around 500 reputation per run. It takes a lot time but with good team it can be done very easy. Process slows after reaching 2000 reputation and after reaching 2500 reputation is instance very hard and expansive without lvl 13 Jackaral in group.
And little warning at the end, chaos giant in Gates of chaos instance have almost million HP and it is not surprisingly tough guy :-)

First stage

In order to participate in this stage, once the invasion is announced in the news, one has to go to Sheara (to get there talk to the Dragon) and ask for The Gift of Insight. With it you have 4 days to obtain Golden Scales - standard drop rules apply - they drop from any non-quest and non-instance monster at random unless its level is more than 1 lower than your own. This stage is not mandatory, but it provides you with a cool blessing depending on your level and number of scales you collected. The blessing lasts 8 hours and only works inside the chaos gate.

Second stage

Once the gates open, teams of magmars and humans will rush in order to destroy the forces of Chaos. Both races will understand each other in this period of time and will be able to communicate (both inside and outside the instance). The teams consist of 5 people of each race. Standard battlefield queue rules apply; level groups are 4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12. Fight time outs are 20 seconds.

Note: This Stage takes about 4-5 hrs. to complete. Make sure you have enough time to enter this battle. If you leave you make things much harder for everyone else. If unsure then dont queue.
When participating in the opening event "Invasion of Chaos"

Gungle Chaos Army [5] - (10) 500
GunglDO Chaos army [6] - (10) 1000
GunglVO Chaos army [7] - (10) 1500
GunglXO Chaos army [8] - (10) 2000
Gungl Shaman [9] - (10) 2000
DefilerDO [10] - (10) 2200
DefilerXO [12] - (10) 2500
General UyarrMo [14] - (10) 2800
Large Egnu [16] - (10) 3000
Egnu Lord [18] - (15) 3000
Giant [22] - (50) 3000

Team goal is to kill the boss. Boss is different for each level group:

Level 4 – Army of Chaos GunglXO
Level 5-6 – DefilerDO
Level 7-8 – DefilerXO
Level 9-10 – General UyarrMO
Level 11-12 – Large Egnu

CAUTION: If you enter the gates and have to leave in order to resupply you will have the Curse of Chaos applied upon your player. This effect only appears when you re-enter the gates and gets stronger the more you leave. Effect is placed on the first 3 people who leave.

Upon Entering the Gates you will find a neutral area where you will first meet up with your Magmar team. Also located at this spot is an Obelisk where you can resurrect if you are killed while in battle.

From there you will enter your designated areas for your level. Once inside you will open the Hunt Screen and find not only the boss but many of extra mobs that you will need to kill as well. If you are at higher levels the bosses from previous stages will be in there as well. Destroying these mobs will gain you points accordingly. Both Humans and Magmars will share the points that are acquired during the battles.

After defeating all the monsters and destroying the Boss, you can now leave the Gates or venture into the other areas designated for other levels. There you will find more monsters you can destroy if you wish to get your points higher in order to get special items; 720 points being max. See below for a chart on obtaining these special items and how many points you need to raise your probability of receiving one.

Get points by killing monsters, but not the ones summoned by other monsters, just the originals.

Points received...

for an Army of Chaos Gungl – 1 point
for an Army of Chaos GunglDO – 2 points
for an Army of Chaos GunglVO – 3 points
for an Army of Chaos GunglXO – 4 points
for a GunglXO Shaman – 6 points
for a DefilerDO – 8 points
for a DefilerXO – 18 points
for a General UyarrMO – 36 points
for a Large Egnu – 72 points

How to fight Chaos

Gungls (all kinds) use:

Cloning - makes 3 copies of itself, can be removed with Scrolls of Purification or Antichaos. When the gungl gets close to dying it will cast this magic 3 times before it takes affect. So be sure to use your scrolls before he finishes. Have a person in your fighting group ready to take off this effect immediately. It is best to decide who will remove the effect at the start of the battle.

Doolb Live - a poison spell that is pretty weak, but does not stop till you either die or use Antidote or Antichaos to heal it. It is recommended that you do not heal this effect until you have alot of them stacked upon yourself. Some people wont even waste a scroll to cure it.

Part LatafDO - does 65 damage to you and weakens your blows by 6%. Makes little sense to take it off, but if you accumulate several of these effects - remove them with Antichaos. Level 4s have no way of removing this effect, so just try to kill it as soon as you can if you see this happening.

How to kill

Destroying Gungl's are pretty standard. Just be ready for the Cloning effect at the end of the battle.

GunglXO Shaman - This Gungl is a special case as he will come into battle with a spell cast upon himself that will absorb 4000 damage. The key to killing the Shaman is to poison him. The effects of poison take off damage directly from his health and are not absorbed by the spell. Use a team of 5 and all throw poison upon him and stall until he dies. Remember to be on alert for the cloning effect and you will survive the fight. Be on alert for an effect that the Shaman will cast that takes off lots of damage. If you find yourself with this effect take it off quickly with Antichaos.

Defilers (all kinds) use:

Noitcerruser - heals the enemy 250 HP in 10 seconds. To fix it DO NOT BLOCK. If someone in your party did block - remove it with Antichaos ASAP.

Soahc Wolb - twice at 66% and 33% life every defiler will cast this on all the opponents at once. Poison makes you lose 1500 hp in 90 seconds. Remove with Antichaos as soon as you can.

Egrahc Citylarap - causes 129 damage on one opponent. After you get hit with it several times - you get stunned for 1 second and lose 350 life. So when you see 2+ effects on yourself - use Antichaos.

Aside from using these 3 effects Defilers will also use the same effects that Gungl's cast upon themselves. So you must be well prepared for this fight. There are 2 kinds of Defilers with health ranging from 10,000's - 12,000's. These are not to be taken lightly they are very strong and on top of that you cant block while fighting. Or it will use a spell which heals him. Remove the effect with Antichaos. Also keep close attention to the Egrahc effect. It will stack on you once it hits 3 it will stun you and take off massive damage. Use an Antichaos when you have 2 effects on you. The Soahc is pretty standard. If you find yourself with it make sure you remove it. Try not to use any summons during this fight If you do have to summon during this fight make sure you only summon after it has used its Soahc Wolb for the 2nd time or else the effect will also be applied on your mounts and summons, so will need to remove it from them with antichaos scroll.

Stronger Chaos

Harder monsters use stronger magic, but regardless, it can all be removed with antichaos scrolls. Any kind of Antichaos scroll is capable of getting things done, the only difference is how many you can put in one slot.

General UyarrMO - This boss is extremely tough and should not be attacked until you have removed all other monsters from the hunt screen. During battle with the General, he will be summoning his Army of Gungls to fight for him in battle. Therefore you need be prepared not only to destroy the General but also 3-4 GunglXO and 2-3 GunglXO Shaman's. If you are injured you should not join this fight until the first Gungl Shaman has been summoned. You CAN block while fighting the General and his army. Like the previous monsters the General will also cast all of the effects you find above (except cloning, and noitcerruser). You will need plenty of Antichaos to survive this fight. Every person will also need some poison to kill off the Shamans that join the fight. Remember be mindful of all the effects from above. The only effect the General will not use is the Cloning but all the Gungls he summons into battle will. You need to be in constant communication with both groups to make sure you know who is going to use a scroll to remove the effect. Dont want 2 people wasting scrolls to heal the same effect. Keep a close eye for the Soahc Wolb that is used at 66% and 33% health, and Egrahc effect. There are some other effects that the General will use all in which can be removed by Antichaos.

Egnu's
Better to do with lvl 13 chaos mount, qith chaos mount effect nothing else needed than scrolls of poison to be faster.

If you kill the boss, but lose the battle in which he died - victory does not count and you have to go again. So, not to waste summons, better be prepared from start. For slaying each boss a person will get 20 Chaos Particles, but also can obtain up to 10 extra ones from just hunting the monsters in location. After 8 hours pass, the next stage - Arrival of giants is about to start.

Stage 3: Arrival of the Giants.

The event happens in the Fortress of Captivity, access to which will be open only to people level 11+. Everyone who joins the fight will get a special buff, Higher Sheara's Blessing, making ALL of their hits/casts stronger and critical. Reward for the fight is based on the amount of damage you deal and consists of Chaos Particles and Destroyers of Chaos reputation.

Chaos Particles:

To receive the maximum possible quantity of particles, teams must score the following number of points according to their level:

Level 4 – 14 points
Level 5-6 – 59 points
Level 7-8 – 163 points
Level 9-10 – 375 points
Level 11-12 – 807 points

If you get max points for your level you will gain 30 particles instead of 20.

Regards.

first stage: get a bless from sheara, hunt mobs to get golden scales and deliver those to sheara.

second stage: this contains of a battlefield, 5 humans + 5 magmars which work together to kill the mob of their level.
this can be the following:
- DefilerXO
- DefilerDO
- Uyarrmo
- Large Egnu
- Egnu lord
- Giant

- Generally the approach on lower levels is to "clear" the whole room of mobs, before attacking the boss.
every mob will have a duplication magic which can be removed with antichaos scrolls or with a scroll of purification.

- The defilers, both xo and do, will have a damage cast which takes a lot of damage, this can only be removed with antichaos magic.

- Uyarrmo will summon a lot of support which also has the duplication magic and a massive damagecast after a certain amount of time.

- Egnu's will summon defilers

- Giant will summon egnu's

Once stage 3 is reached, it will be a huge fight on faygo, which has never been won on .com server (if even reached).
Here you will fight with sheara on your side vs a huge amount of chaos mobs.
