Summons would be the general term used to refer to all amulets, card packs, or any other method of bringing an NPC into a fight to aid you excluding mounts. You can get amulets that will allow you to summon help from the shop in daylight square. Additionally, more summons become available as you progress through the game. Some require specific character levels before you can buy them. Others require specific reputation status. Still others require you to put together the parts needed to make the summoning amulet. One more thing... Some summons are one time use... such as the ones bought from the shop at daylight square. However, card packs, among others, allow you to repeatedly summon an NPC to your aid once weekly. They are a key part to any characters abilities. They can help a level 5 clear the D house solo or they can turn the tide of a heated CC battle... there usefulness can not be over stated.

Summons are low level mages that need to come running when called by certain clans. In some rare cases high level fighters may be given the role of Summon

Summons

Summons is a term that can describe many different amulets of call, such as Wraiths, Card summons, Attack amulets etc. Your ability to use these summons depends on several variables such as level and valor rank. You can use these summons from your "backpack" button on the right side of your screen.

The summons are amulets that can resurect a monster in your aid. There are many summons. Some of the requieres determinated reputations, level, valor ranks or collect a set of cards.

The ''most easy'' summons to get are the ones at the shop in square of fire (magmar) daylight square (humans). To use those summons you need have a specific level and reputation:

Zigred: you must be lvl 2 and have 120+ reputation in your city. (cost: 5s)
Pkhadd: you must be lvl 3 and have 310+ reputation in your city. (cost: 10s)
Tiger: you must be lvl 4 and have 660+ reputation in your city. (cost: 15s)
Iguraon: you must be lvl 4 and have 1.500+ reputation in your city. (cost: 20s)
Atshi: you must be lvl 5 and have 2.200+ reputation in your city. (cost: 25s)
Golem: you must be lvl 5 and have 3.000+ reputation in your city. (cost: 30s)

Those summons can only be used when you're in the fight, to use it you must click in the backpack (at the right of the screen, above the mail). Select the correct amulet and click in use. One summons uses 1 slot in your backpack.

There are another type of summon, the attack one. Those summons can be used in a fight that you are not involved, or to start a fight to another. Those summons can not be used on normal monsters, only to players (from same race or different).

Zigred: you must be lvl 2 and be a soldier.
Pkhadd: you must be lvl 3 and be a fighter.
Tiger: you must be lvl 4 and be a warrior.
Atshi&Pkhadd (lvl 6): you must be lvl 5 and have done the quest to do rages. When you rage, you get 3 atshis (magmars) or 3 pkhadds (humans).

At the trade fairs, we have special summons, but there are not attack ones. You can get the kakurts, phtizells, scorpions and spiders. Those summons are very strong, but also expensive. You only need have a certain level to use them.

Also with the reputation of destroyer of chaos, you can get lings. With better reputation, you can get stronger ones. Those summons have got few life points, but the damage is strong.

In chests you can get the amulets of kretches (attack ones), gargoyles (normal ones) and striagon (normal). The gargoyles and striagorn are very strong summons.

The bringers of evil can use the kretch burrow summon, it's strong, but very expensive.

But the best summons are in the cards. You can collect different cards, and when you have the set, you can get a summon every week. Exists a lot of different sets of cards, and each set gives to you different types of summons. One of them are better than others.

The summons can help you in hard fights, like for superbeings or instances, or to do battlefields. Anyways, in some battlefields is not permited to use them (arenas and tallar).
I'm cute :D

There are a vast amount of summons in this game, and there are many different ways to obtain them, with each having different uses. Here is my breakdown on them.

Common summons:

I call these common summons as these are the summons that most players will obtain in the game, they are:
Zigred
Pkhadd bear
Tiger
Iguraon
Atshi bat
Golem

All of those can be bought with city rep to be able to be used in battle, and called by opening your backpack when in a fight. There are also attack forms of zigred, pkhadd bear and tiger that can be bought from the arsenal with the right valour rank, these can be used outside of battle and cast at any player by inserting their name.

Rare summons:

These are what i call the summons that most players can still gain, but they are alot harder to get, these include:
The red summons from trade fair:
Kakurt
Large scorpion
King scorpion
Spider patriarch
Emperor scorpion.

Summons from chests:
Kretch
Grim gargoyle
Striagorn

These are all used in battle and summoned via backpack except kretch which are summoned by name insertion and can be done in or out of battle.

Quest/Event summons:

These are the summons that you can gain from doing various quests or regular events, these summons are mostly a once only obtain and include:
Valdagor the ripper
Phitzell (can be got once from event and once from quest)
Young yeti
Wild yeti
Scolopendra

The numbers of each of these obtained vary. They are all used in battle and summoned via backpack, some need a name inserted.

Card summons:

These are the summons that you can obtain from collecting a full set of cards, each set of cards will give different summon types and also some sets can have several summons possobile of which it selects 1 randomly. These are all summoned during fight via the backpack and include:
Elemental summon
Agudar wraith
Legendary warrior (2 of the card sets can give this)
Resurrected ghoul wraith
DefilerDO

All of these summons can be used once per week and reset at the start of each new week.

Rep summons:

This is the big one as there are many different reps and alot of them can allow various summons upon gaining enough rep.

City rep:
Gain 4000 city rep and you can buy an amulet to summon warriors, these require 3 mirrors to summon which can be bought or made from quicksilver. These can set marks on enemies which help the archers.
Gain 5500 city rep and you can buy an amulet to summon archers, these require 4 mirrors to summon.
*note, the common summons are also city rep based (except arsenal ones), but i made these seperate as they take much longer to gain and need lvl 8 and 9 respectively.

BoE rep:
Summons here include:
Cutthroat (500 rep)
Gordt ataman (1000 rep)
kretch butccher (2000 rep)

Chaos rep:
Summons here include:
Kia ling (500 rep)
via ling (1000 rep)
Dia ling (2000 rep)
Nia ling (medal of worship)

All of these summons may only be used once every 15mins.

Mercenaries rep:
Summons here include:
Mercenary Summon (medal of worship)

This can be done in either mercenary rep to aquire the summon.

Flaundin rep:
Sharkers (500 rep)

This summon may only be used underwater.

I think that about covers it all, but may have missed the odd summon here and there  All summons are called within fights unless i have said otherwise.
