Festive table & menu

Festive table

and menu

Wednesday, December 29th 2021, 7:18am

So the menu appears as follows:
Appetizer:
Tuna (something Yetis feel familiar with, since fish are very common food on their freezing cold lands ^^)
Vanilla Ice Cream (in order to keep the Faean Christmas Spirit around - and too cool down the Yeti before it snatches up on the main dish :D)

Main Dish:
Yeti's Favorite Pkhadd Meat (since Pkhadds are not very common on the Yetis' Lands, this flavor is a delicacy, yet it's like a mythic legend, and any Yeti who claims they tried Pkhadd's meat themselves, is considered a very lucky one!)

Desserts:
Yeti Cookies (Brought by the Yeti itself, made with a little help of the Tavern's owner, since it's a little hard to bake with those big paws :3 Brought to the party as a grattitude for such hospitality)
Frosty Cake (Basically an Ice-Cream Cake that shines in the light of winter Mirrou)

Drink:
Home made Lemonade (A little sour, cold drink to remove the sugary flavor of all the sweets, so everyone can taste them and enjoy them over and over again :3)

Everyone gathered at the Mary's Tavern for the new year celebration. I was sitting around the corner of the tavern, watchin the crowd cheer. The people gathered around the Elder, listening to the story of stolen gifts and how I saved the holiday with my little investigation.

"It seems like little Bugah loved his new friends, how cute they are." said Mary, gazing at the little yeti while mixing the cauldron of Gelanf Soup (1). Bugah the baby yeti, the friendly yeti that stole the presents and the winter abomination that I summoned for translating the yeti (It was hard to convince Mary to accept him in. She was just standing in the door with all her might and saying that she would never accept a monstrosity to her tavern. The Elder saved me by telling her what happened before. She even did apologize ) were all together having a good time. Bugah touched at the now pile on top of the abomination and said: "So your land issh full of shnow, I shtill can't believe ith." The friendly yeti nodded, got a bite from the food in his plate and happily said something we don't understand. My abomination told me that "He relished the Gelanf Fins (5), my masssster. He wishesssss that gelanfsssss were around in their islesssss tooooo." Little Bugah had a bite from his Ripe Honeyfruit (4) and took a sip from his Celebration Punch (6). After, told the yeti to try that too, because they only serve celebration punches on special days and it also tastes amazing.

I finished what's left from my wine to fill the glass again. It was the Wine (2) that Herdsman Veyko made for us, for this special day. Taking the full glass, I sat at the table as Mary calls the other guests: "Everyone at the table! We're having a feast. All in line, come and get some Kodrag's Head (3)!
And this is the end of a story that will not be forgotten. It was a great adventure. No one got harmed and we got a new friend. And also my winter abomination decided to keep staying with me. Only problem is that everyone's scared of it. It'll take time for them to love it too, my boy would never harm anyone
I haven't seen the Festival Organizer since that day, but I think he disappeared until he's needed for a festival again. What a shame...
Let's see what adventures will the future bring for us!

THE END

The Menu:

For Humans:
1- Gelanf Soup
2- Wine
3- Kodrag's Head

For the Yeti and the Abomination:
4- Ripe Honeyfruit
5- Gelanf Fins
6- Celebration Punch

This festive table is a treat for everyone - human and yeti alike.

From the more nutricious dishes, there's plenty to choose from. Yeti might take a liking to simple fish seasoned with finest spices or a pickled tentacle. For the bigger crowd, there's a wide range of different dishes, that won't let you leave the table hungry - starting with a simple ham, bread and meat pie all the way to some tasty meat soups and stews.

To match the festive spirit, there's also a wide selection of finest beverages. You can drink a winter punch, a slightly stroner drink, a ginger ale oraz maybe even an ambrosia.

To end the feast, you can take a slice of chocolocate cake, a cupcake or a spoon of the sweetest honey. Even yeti wouldn't say no to such offer.
