Since ancient times Maurin whisperers have been known as masters of sealing energy of sacred Tailsime in magical stones, known as arkats. Like talisman, arkat helps its owner in battles thought increasing of their characteristics. The more edges this magical stone has, the more energy of sacred tree it can hold inside, thus the more powerful it is.

Humans and Magmars living in Meridian Lands have always wanted to know the mystery of arkats' creation in order to use their power in battles, yet Maurins followed their traditions and didn't reveal the secret.

Everything changed when the frightening crack moved parts of land in Craggy Edge and Volcano's Edge. In order to defend Meridian Lands, Maurin council decided to share the magic of arkats with Humans and Magmars and let them use it to defend their home.

This is what warriors now know about the arkats. First of all the magic of the stone reveals itself only if the stone is inserted in a special bracelet, the number of slots in which differs from 1 to 4 depending on its value. Second, arkat as any other part of warriors' equipment can be extracted and replace by a new one. If warrior decides to unequip their bracelet magical stones will instantly appear in their backpack. Third, there is a great variety of arkats, each of them is enchanted by unique spell affecting specific warrior characteristics.
