repair of ring is not possible

For me as jeweller it is not possible to repair defect rings in shop. Is this a new feature? If yes why the other professions can repair this stuff in shop?
For me it is at the moment only possible to repair about the recipe, but this is very expensive and i need every time 2 rings to repair 1.
Sorry i am a little bit frustrated about this!
