 An Uncooperative Chest03.04.2009 09:01

We're delighted to inform you of Faeo's first logical quest, which is open to warriors of level 4 and above.

Stavros the Blacksmith. He has a Greek grandfather. Tungur the Blacksmith. He has a, er, well, don't ask about his grandfather.

What would you do if you found a mysterious chest in your attic which you had no way of getting into? Of course, curiosity would get the better of you and you would try and open it any way possible! Just such a thing has happened to one of the blacksmith's friends! In front of a crowd of family and friends he set about turning the coloured cogs, but...nothing. So he asked the blacksmith to help him out and smash a way into the chest. But, again, nothing! The chest seems to be so strong that the blacksmith's blows have not even left a scratch. Tired and frustrated, the blacksmith has now turned to you for help.

The quest can be taken from  Stavros and  Tungur the Blacksmiths, living on the Luan Coast and in the Ancestral Mountains, respectively.

 Mysterious Spectral Expanse01.04.2009 11:06

Every Faean warrior knows the name of the great Mistress of the Dragons. Many know that Sheara's fragile and bewitching appearance is complemented by a huge inner strength and ability to subjugate to her will even giant, fire-breathing monsters. She is a descendant of A'Aron the Just himself, a conjurer above all others and an envoy sent to Faeo by the Higher Gods.

Sheara

But few have known where to find Sheara's residence, from where she governs the dragons, from where she takes her fateful decisions...until now! We are delighted to inform the inhabitants of Faeo that the path to the great Sheara's homeland has been charted! A brave and single-minded warrior, wanting to remain anonymous, found the right words with which to convince the Dragon to deliver him to the Spectral Expanse, directly to the Great Mistress' palace. If one can do it, so can everyone else! Don't be shy, brave warriors! It could happen for you, too! An audience with the beautiful Sheara awaits. You can feast your eyes on her, admire her beauty, ask her life-affirming questions and listen to her answers!

 Training the War Mages01.04.2009 10:45

Every year in Faeo there is a grand competition where the representatives of the best Schools of Magic demonstrate their skill and power. The Schools' best Mages come together in mighty clashes, showing off their style, astonishing magic trainees and expending all their energy to earn victory. Whichever School emerges victorious will have the most powerful voice in magic councils, as well as having greater weight and authority in general, being feted by their nation and being allowed to play a leading role in the political arena. Every city carefully prepares for this great event and the Warlords themselves lead the preparation process. They will tell warriors, who are not indifferent to the fate of their nation, what they need to do to help the Mages of their race earn victory in the Battle of the War Mages.

The quest is available from the Warlords from level 6. The reward is 50-300 city reputation, depending on the amount of assistance you render.

 Fear in the sky!17.03.2009 23:07

Warriors! For many days and many years, an Undead Lord has been sleeping beneath our cities, haunting our catacombs and killing the brave warriors who sought to uncover the dark secrets hidden in Faeo's darkest corridors! Not so long ago, on our City Squares, a strange wanderer in a dark cape was telling a story about treasures he has seen in the Undead Lord's treasury. This strange wanderer told us that some of the Lord's fearsome guards had escaped, but only a strong, well-trained and well-equipped clan of warriors could even hop to face and beat the dreadful creature that is the Rampaging Bone Dragon and obtain its treasures!

We could not believe our ears when the wanderer claimed to have seen one flying around the Castles of  Faytvor and  Grand Fort. We asked our sorcerers to investigate....and now we cower in fear of the castle territories.

Even more intriguing was the wanderer's claims that he believes this dragon to have some powerful new items with him, items that are so rare, strong and powerful that people would do anything to get them. He was convinced that he had seen an incredibly valuable ring and amulet, which he identified as:

It is possible that a creature like that, which has killed countless warriors could also be in possession of weapons so rare and powerful that even a King would kill to get hold of them!

Warriors, do not wait! Gather your strength! Prepare yourself and face your destiny! We don't know for how long the feared creature will haunt Faeo's castles! Bring all that you have got with you! IT IS YOUR TIME TRUE WARRIORS, BECOME A LEGEND OF FAEO!

 Tarariquon Spider Battles13.03.2009 16:22

It's time to put your feet up and earn a little money at the same time! Every warrior works tirelessly, engaging the enemy in battle and going on long campaigns in search of adventure, glory and victory! But every warrior needs to rest, too. A short nap, a drink with friends, a chance to lay down the sword...

Even then, most warriors find it hard to relax without the spectacle of battle. Therefore,  Givens the Landlord, of The Gurral'diy's Head, and  Voluptuous Mary, of Mary's Tavern, have come up with a new show for all who want a little bit of entertainment whilst away from the battlefield: Spider Battles.

But don't think this new attraction is merely banal entertainment to pass the time! Oh no! You have a unique chance to cash in on the spider battles because every battle that your Tarariquon wins brings you profit! You can train your spider and increase its attributes, developing it from a regular Tarariquon to a Veteran Tarariquon to a true professional - a Battle Tarariquon.

For that, you need to feed your little friend its favourite food - tubemakers, which you can find by killing the undead.

So you can kill two birds with one stone: destroy the ghastly undead and keep your Tarariquon fed. How do you get yourself your very own Tarariquon? Simple. They can be found in the caches of the Palaces of King Magish, by killing Giant Female Ashen Spiders and, if you're a Geologist, Herbologist or Fisherman, you might find them whilst mining, collecting or fishing. Givens and Mary will tell you everything you need to know about the rules and conduct of battle. They'll even sell you all the necessary equipment! To battle!

The beetle has become uncontrollable! The forester doesn't know what to do. He needs to destroy the rampaging monster before it does real harm. But the forester is very attached to his pet and can't bring himself to do the deed. He's been to all the wise men and mages on the continent in search of advice about how to cure the beetle and make it kind and obedient once more, but no one has been able to help. You're his last hope!

Big scary beetle = big scary problem!

The quest can be taken from   Hawken the Forester and   Vaslav the Ranger, who live in Zviglod Grove and on Light's Edge respectively.
