On the contrary, he stands guard over your life, protecting it from the creatures of the dungeon. What drives such a strange tree warrior? Perhaps he is fulfilling some kind of vow, taking revenge on the creatures of Celeste, or maybe that’s just his nature. It’s unlikely we would be able to find the answer - the Custodian’s lips are tightly closed and sealed with bark.
