With time even the charms placed on an artefact can expire. A magic staff that for many years served a wise mage loyally and sincerely, began to lose its power with the years. Like water dripping out of a crack in a clay jug, drop by drop the magic force slowly leaked out of the old wooden staff. But it is not that easy to get hold of a new tool for sorcery.
After some thought, the mage managed to find a staff in Faeo that could meet all the requirements and become a worthy replacement for the old staff, if it was steeped in charms. However, the current master of the magic artefact is unlikely to want to part with it willingly, after summoning the most dangerous monsters to protect it. And the staff is currently filled with a dark aura and until that has been dispersed, the old mage is unlikely to be able to possess it.
Warriors of Faeo! The mages Khorsungum and Arnabag will generously reward warriors that are brave enough to go to the Fortress of Captivity and obtain the magic staff belonging to the powerful creature living there. The brave warriors will not only need to come face to face with the fierce prisoners of the fortress, but also help the mage cleanse the staff of dark charms.
