Agudar Throws Down the Gauntlet!26.10.2008 03:29

The glorious Underground Knights of Faeo, who have already earned the Medal of Honour and respect of their peers for their great feats, will get quite a shock upon their next visit to the Keeper. The Keeper has had an incredible dream in which the great warrior Agudar visited him. The hero, now a terrible monster, had the cheek to express his distrust and doubt in the motives and abilities of today's Underground Knights.

Agudar the Knight in his modern form

Sputtering saliva, screaming curses and spouting abuse, Agudar, turned into his monstrous form by the fallen King Magish, called those who have earned the Medal of Honour "cunning intriguers who have won glory by deceit!"

Agudar answered the Keeper's weak efforts to defend his heroes by throwing down the gauntlet! Agudar, bitter and twisted about the loss of his body and soul, proposed the Knights undergo a trial which would prove once and for all whether they were upstarts and fraudsters or true heroes. In the trial, a Knight must campaign in the Crystalline Caves and collect 1000 crystals of each colour. Victory in battle is a must because Agudar will issue a fine for any defeats. He has even offered the use of his ring to record the number of crystals a Knight collects.

Knights can find Agudar, or the beast he has become, in the Palaces of King Magish. Before setting out to complete the main mission, Knights must fight Agudar in the Palaces and obtain his ring. Once the crystals have been collected, Knights must do battle with Agudar once more and emerge victorious.

Agudar has promised to generously recognise and reward whoever completes the task; not even the perfidious Magish has been able to destroy Agudar's ties to the Underground Knights. The Keeper also found out in his dream that the monster would offer his very own rucksack as a reward, something which is unequalled throughout Faeo, and the Underground Knights Medal of Worship.

The Keeper has left it up to individual Knights as to whether they accept the challenge or not, but strongly intimated that Agudar's insults should not go unpunished. He thinks it would be better for the Knights to take up the gauntlet and silence Agudar for good!
