| Twas' the night b4 Christmas+all thru the house, not a creature was stirring not even a wood louse!
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that the Mentor soon would be there!
When up on the roof there arose such a noise, One cute little Mentor in a sleigh full of toys! Now Ashen,now Kroffdor,now Phitzell and Flaundin, On Zigred,on Kretch,on Gordt and Iguraon To the top of the porch!To the top of the wall ! Dash away,dash away,dash away all ! Saying not a word he went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings,then turned with a jerk After eating the cookies and getting a splinter in his nose,, He smiled and with a nod,up the chimney he rose! He jumped in his sleigh,to his team gave a whistle, Let's go,let's go,we're off to Brushwood Thistle ! But I heard him say as he flew out of sight, Merry Christmas to all,and to all a goodnight!!
