 A Cold Encounter11.05.2011 09:03

Recently the first  Humans and  Magmars have found the way to the Islands of Eternal Frost, the home of the Yetis. Some of these Yetis have now descended upon  Ogriy and  Khair in order to revenge the intrusion into their realm. Everyone knows how dangerous they are and so the  Human Commander and the  Magmar Commander chased them back to where they came from. Now the two commanders are in the lonely Polar Badlands, the only living beings on that remote island on the edge of the ice world. Not much of the provisions is left and only one of them will be able to survive in the cold. Will you help your commander?

Those warriors who have already finished the quest Journey to the Frozen Islands can access the Polar Badlands from the Iceberg Wharf. If you have not finished the quest yet, you can still help your commander by doing the same he did: The Yetis that entered the mainland from the Islands of eternal frost are now hiding at the  Gryphon Crossing and the  Wyvern Crossing. Find their hiding place, chase and attack them and you will eventually arrive at the Polar Badlands where you can help in the battle of the commanders!

The fight will begin on Thursday, 19:00 Faeo time and you will be able to access the location and find the yetis from this time. The commanders will be extremely grateful if you help them in their desperate situation in this cold and cruel part of Faeo. They will reward everyone who comes to their help and joins the fight with lots of Valor and every member of the winning team will receive a Young Yeti Amulet of Call.

The event A Cold Encounter takes place on Thursday, 19:00 Faeo time. Warriors who have finished the quest Journey to the Frozen Islands can access the Polar Badlands via the Iceberg Wharf and join the fight of the commanders. All other warriors should find the Yetis at  Gryphon Crossing and  Wyvern Crossing in order to get to the Polar Badlands.

Update: The warriors of Faeo did not leave their commanders alone in that desparate situation. They did not fear the cold nor the yetis they had to overcome to get their. A
hot battle developed in the cold environment and eventually the  Magmars could claim victory. They received 8000 Valor and a Young Yeti Amulet of Call each while the  Human participants received 4000 Valor.

Given how barren the frozen islands are of anything useful, I'd have wished for more of a benefit for those of us who actually finished that monumental quest to get there.
