| It does seem kind of strange to have a 10 year aniversary, which is a big deal, and then cut out 75% of your players from the rewards. The problem is that clearly there is more attention and care shown towards player that put real money into the game. Although that is understandable, especially since they're the ones that fund this game for the rest of us. However, this attitude is what has caused this game to shrink and the number of active players to dwindle. Just remember, that even if you excite and reward the people who pay real money, if you drive away the free to play players, the game will continue to shrink even more. And when most of the free to play characters have left the game, the paypallers will have a less enjoyable game with less instances, and less marketable resources to gather. Plus, once all the players are paypallers, who are they going to beat up on? If everyone is more powerful since they use real money, then in essence, no one is more powerful and everyone is on the same level. At that point, the paypallers willl begin to lose interested and will beging to leave as well. |
